Christmas for everyone
Have you read David Sedaris' short story, "six to eight black men"? If not, I highly recommend finding yourself a copy immediately. Not only will you be blown away by your current misconceptions of this joyous holiday, but you will be opened to the wonderful tale of Dutch christmas traditions. Where will the brobdingnags take us next?

just a hair crush?
"Those of use who do not live in Illinois had generally not given much thought to Rod Blagojevich until this week. We had never wondered how a person with a 13% approval rating ever managed to get elected in the first place, though now I am personally leaning toward the theory that it was the hair. Blagojevich tossed his thick brown mane and the voters told each other: "Yes, he sounds a little dumb. But truly that is the hair of a reformer."

Good work, Illinois.

bailout or bust?
"The bailout plan released yesterday is a lot better than the proposal Henry Paulson first put out — sufficiently so to be worth passing. But it’s not what you’d actually call a good plan, and it won’t end the crisis." -David Brooks
way to inspire confidence in our governing bodies Mr. Brooks.
Let's all take a moment to lament the failure of the bailout bill, and then realize that the premature decrease in the markets has already righted itself. good work.
God bless Nancy Pelosi.

"But it's like those mottoes men carved over the entrance of a castle and died for. It's a challenge in the face of something so vast and so dark, that all the pain on earth- and do you know how much suffering there is on earth?- all the pain comes from that thing you are going to face. I don't know what it is, I don't know why it should be unleashed against you. I know only that it will be. And I know that if you carry these words through to the end, it will be a victory, Howard, not just for you, but for something that should win, that moves the world and never wins acknowledgement. It will vindicate so many who have fallen before you, who have suffered as you will suffer. May God bless you- or whoever it is that is alone to see the best, the highest possible to human hearts. You're on your way to hell."
-Henry Cameron
Current Location of my thoughts: The bench over looking the Stockholm Archipelago. Stockholm, Sweden.
At some point in life, I hope there is a time when it seems to slow down. This never ending desire to do more, be more gets tiring and i wonder if it will ever stop, if only for a second. We fight for those things we need to change to see our lives improve by infinitesimal amounts. I ask myself if it's worth it. But if it isn't worth it, what ever is?
Good evening.
